About the Event

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the larger community of artists and supporters who make The Fraser a community arts space, we are seeking your help in finding some additional expertise for our staff and Board.

We are recruiting a volunteer Treasurer for our Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will have experience managing financial reports for a non-profit or a business, and will want to work with a Board who is contributing to keeping our community artsy in an accessible way. The commitment involves about 10 meetings a year and a few hours a month. The duties include keeping the Board advised of our financial status, working with potential funders who need financial information, and working with the bookkeeper, and other volunteers. If you are interested, want further information, or would like to nominate someone else, please contact David Boyle at mboyle.silk@gmail.com or Pamela Swainson at pswainson@gmail.com or Barbara Guy at oliverfarmns@gmail.com.

Starting next year, we will also be hiring a bookkeeper who will manage the books for transactions such as art and craft sales, payroll, taxes, workers compensation, etc.  We are actively seeking an individual or company who can provide this service on an hourly basis. We anticipate that this will involve about 10-12 hours of work per month from June to October and fewer hours in the rest of the year.

And finally, there is always room on our Board and in our broader community for energetic people with skills. If you would like to discuss the possibility of being a Board member, or would like to work on outdoor clean-up, do some marketing and communications for The Fraser, or fundraising, please contact either of us for further information.

Sincerely,
